Light Dreams 2023

Light, bright red made for pizza, pasta on summer evenings.

A lighter, more playful expression from the Wild Dreams range. Lower alcohol and bright fruit make this an easy-drinking, versatile wine.

Sulphur free Chillable red No filtration or additions Mostly Merlot, with a touch of Chardonnay co-fermented. 12.8% ABV Only 1200 bottles made

Tasting notes

Aromas of red berries, toffee apple and marzipan sit alongside hints of chocolate cake and cherry. There’s a gentle savoury note from the stems, plus a flinty edge that keeps things interesting. On the palate it’s soft and pillowy, full of juicy red fruit, with a bright citrus lift on the finish thanks to a splash of Chardonnay in the blend.

Smells like:

Red berries, toffee apple, marzipan, cherry.

Tastes like:

Red plums, sour cherry, tomato leaf, light chocolate notes and fresh citrus.

The finish:

Bright, juicy and refreshing — especially when served chilled.

ABV: 12.8%

Light and easy-drinking.

What to eat with it

This wine is happiest alongside simple, familiar food.

Goes well with:

  • Burgers
  • Fish and chips
  • Grazing plates
  • Tomato-based pasta
  • Pizza

Why it works:

Chilled reds with good acidity cut through salt, oil and richness beautifully.

Picnic afternoons

Chilled, passed around, no glasses fuss.

House parties

The bottle that disappears first.

Winter rosé moments

When you want something light but not sharp or white.

Quiet nights in

Comfortable, easy, and exactly what you feel like drinking.

A Merlot base which was wholebunch fermented (naturally) for 7 days, with 8%
already fermenting Chardonnay added as a co-fermentation. Once pressed the
barrels were topped with small amounts of Pinot Gris, Marsanne, Pinot Noir,
Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and the wine was left alone and bottled in September
2023. No tinkering or additions were made.
